FireFox 2.0

Post by [JiF]Beej1024 »

Ok, as previously stated I am a huge FireFox fan.

However.... I upgraded to FF 2.0 and it has been a horror show. It crashes, it hangs, it opens serveral processes and stops responding. It was so bad I had to go find a cop of 1.5 to go back to.

I dont know what happened, but it's terrible. I tried uninstalling the old, removing everything from the registry and doing a clean install, still was a nightmare.

If you are thinking of using FF, which I do recommend, use 1.5.0.7. WAY BETTER.

I've had a couple hangs in FF2, I agree it doesn't seem to be as stable but I haven't had much trouble with it overall. Do you have many addons?

Hmm, I have more addons than that! :) I have ForecastFox, Foxmarks Bookmark Synch, and Google Toolbar. I know little to nothing bout fixing issues with FF though, so I have no suggestions. :(
