Giving away positions...

Post by mbm »

Zookers i respect u dudes cuz u have a hard job to do. But plz dont fire unless you have a kill shot as it gives away your position and the dude next to you (which is me sometimes - lol). Also, remember nades aren't antitank weapons and result in lots of teamkills. Save your nades for hapless infantry or to clear a building. Let the engy or zooker 2 seconds to close with the tank and do his/her job.

Actually, as dumb as it seems you can take out a tank with nades in BF42.

Yes, the SturmTigers seem especially susceptible to grenades.
Funny, as they can take what seems like unlimited shots from a Sherman to their front armor

I know where Major is coming from with the tk bit. Tossing grenades at tanks can take out an engy who can take do it with a quick frisbee mine or a zooker who is lining up a good rear shot! I know as I have been guilty of it myself in the past. :(

Ya I get nade happy when a tank comes by. Still who brings a nade to a tank fight and wins that often.

I'll grenade tanks if I don't see my team around, though admittedly, sometimes I don't see them and end up blowing them up. In general, I try to only 'nade tanks that are already damaged and smoking since a 'nade or 2 may just do the trick and blow them up.

Other thing that drives me nuts sometimes is when going to capture a flag I sometime grenade the flag area before rushing in and occasionally there will be a teammate that I didn't see there. The reason I didn't see them is that the flag icon on the map covers their colored arrow so it looks deserted but it's not. That's annoying. :)

If I'm a medic and I have an ammo case I'll win enough to make it worthwhile. :)

But yeah people need to hold off nading when there's a zook or engy running around. Same time an engy/zook that runs up to a tank that's being pelted with grenades deserve to die. Nothing sillier than throwing 3 nades in a row and watching an engy who's been hiding right next to you, watching those grenades fly, run up on the third one and get blown up.

Almost as annoying as Waterboy talking.

Almost.

For a moment I actually thought that this topic was about the Kama Sutra, 'till you all started talking about nades :(
