Yeah, unlocks must be chosen carefuly, OR you could be like me and go up the board the first time just to get a new gun, unfortunately the assault rifle upgrade sucks...dont get it

Really? Well that's disheartening.
I was thinking anything would be better than the first issue assault weapon.

I wonder what the next support weapon will be like...

It has to better, the assault upgrade was more or less the same gun (accuracy wise) but with a red dot sight...what a thrill...a red dot!

Hahaha, well I hope the complexity of BF2142 will eventually appeal to those mmorpg players, seems like complexity, learning curves, and complications are what they enjoy best about games...

It's down to an 8/10 average. Seems like most of the reviews agree it's more a mod than a full release and the ones that like the new unlock system and titan give it higher ratings than the ones who don't like it.

The user ratings are god awful (5.4/10 average at the moment). Most of the negative comments seem to be coming from 1942/bf2 users who don't find the new tweaks to be very rewarding and think the gameplay is basically the same.
