There is currently a discussion going on about it in the secret member forum. Not sure what will come out of it if anything. Just have to give it a few days and see.

Ahhh....the ole "clandestine group of supreme powers that decide on the fate of the world" comeback...

LMAO!!!!! xx

my only question.. what are the "secret initiation practices" used???

Not that scary secret forum. The JiF general member forum. It's not being discussed by upper management yet :D
I hate those meetings with all the chains, whips and stuff, so I avoid them.

Yeah but all that's needed is a nice supply of donuts to get you involved. ;)

I had trouble with the Toujane map install. After putting it in the correct file, I kept getting an error message that said; "application cannot start, locked file error." I looked in the "levels" file where all the maps go, and the toujane map was in a "manilla" folder. I opened it, put the opened file in the "levels" folder, deleted the "manilla" version, and it worked perfectly after that. If anyone has similar problems, it might be due to that. Check your "levels" file folder here----- C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942\Mods\bf1942\Archives\bf1942\levels

Once you download and install FileZilla run the program.
Once it comes up simply click on "File" then "Site Manager". That will bring up the window that is pictured in the map list forum.
Just click on the "New Site" button and fill in the information as pictured. The first time you run it the new site window may come up by itself I don't remember for sure.

After it's set up you can bring up the "Site Manager" select the FTP.jiff.net site and hit connect.
Once connected you can drag the map files to you desktop or location of your choice.

Grimp, I think you have the patience of a saint!
It looks like you have a lot of help desk type experience with the way you have handled all the 'calls'.
It reminds me very much of work & having to bite your tongue when dealing with people.
I for 1 am really enjoying playing the mod maps as it keeps it fresh from playing the same maps every night.
Keep up the good work & throw in a load more just to confuse 'em a bit more
