Ya, It looks pretty big. It's most likely going to be too big for our group on Sunday. I will not put it in the rotation. We can turn it on when and if we want to try it. Then again once you get by the beach it is not really any bigger than some other maps we play. 20 players might be enough for some fun. Of course you might not ever get of that big beach
Gotta look at the ones Corn suggest and see what they are about too.

These maps look nice.

These maps are not on server, only download if you want to check them out.
Holy Crap. I have never seen so much armor on one map. I will probably be putting both maps up. Hope they are as fun as the screenshots make them look :D

Where do .rfa files go?

Post by [JiF]LtComStarbuck »

Hate to be the slow one but where exactly do the rfa files need to be placed after extraction? Guessing

D:\Battlefield1942\Mods\bf1942\Archives\bf1942\levels

but Kardon doesn't seem to work there. Others are there. I am placing Omaha Green there unless I hear otherwise.

Thanks

whilst we're at it can i suggest you take a look at this map
it has full bot support and runs on Vanillia, RtR and SW,
it can be difficult in SP, and is a lot of fun
http://battlefield2.filefront.com/file/ ... isia;67799
i'd be well happy if we could add it to CMS rotation

Custom MAP SUNDAY has been moved to Thursday!
New maps were added today, so watch the server map list topic.
I will not list them until they show up on our FTP link. Prolly within an hour or two.
It's an easy self installing mappack  :)

Could you please only make new map announcements on alternate Fridays? This is so confusing.

What is with that Operation Armoured Thrust map?
It is so lame!
Just driving a short distance in tanks, running in to invisible (I think it was corn who said they were 'cloaked') buildings.
To me it is just too condensed with flaws in it. It took me ages of trying to blow up, shoot & whatever else someone to realise that he was behind somethink invisible!!
At 1 base there is a repair station which you cant see which totally ruins it!
Love the new Saint map I had a blast driving around in a jeep cross country, would be really good with more than the 6 players we had on.

Ya, map seems pretty flawed. I will probably remove it from the rotation if I remember too.

Man you were changing flags so fast.
That map Saint Savuer is a good map for hiding zooks and snipers.

Yep! With the jeep you don't have to stick to the road you can go straight from flag to flag virtually. Just have to be gentle going over the verges. Don't try it in the German car thing, it's made from tin foil & bits of string & just not up to the same level.
