Sly Gambit or Albie recommended a headset in the old forum, but I don't remember what it was. I use a cheaper set. I think it cost me about $30. I like it because it has a local volume control on the cord. I've had it for several years. It's starting to get some static so I'll be in the market around Christmas time so I'm interested in this thread also.

And didn't you owe me $185

I got Logitech ones from Bestbuy I think they were less than $30. They don't seem to have the gamers one anymore but they have these

Some people don't like them because they have really big earpiece, but I think they are fine.
Only $27.

Dunno what I have - some $30 BestBuy deal..

Have thought about getting nice ones but I tend to drop them and trip on the cord a lot. Better for me to get cheap ones that work than nice ones that I'll break.

Mine are quite similar to Grimps.
I really like the volume on the cord and the
padded earpiece aspect- I tend to keep
one slightly off one ear so I can hear what's going
on- never know when the wife will sneak up on
me with a baseball bat ;)
You really shouldn't pay more than $30 though,
unless you plan to use them for serious music
listening or something.

I agree they are always in a position to get damage. I won't pay more they $30.
They get yanked, cord gets rolled over, yada yadda. The ones I use seem to let wife noise through, however it tends to get lost in the noise of gaming :) I believe they are actually made to let wife noise through. Wife noise is very similar to white noise. Mine don't seem to let white noise through just wife noise.

I have the ICEMAT Black Siberia with the USB sound card thats made for them and I love them. They fit comfortable on my head and don't hurt my ears and the sound quality through them is awesome. I'm getting ready to post a review about them and I would recommend them to anyone. I think they are well worth the price.

Here is the set I have.
