All you need is one JiF player, check their buddies, you'll find just about
all of us on their list since we all play together.

Hmmm, my handle in Steam is "Toriq" and I didn't even log-in to Steam until just now so no way I could have kicked you. No idea what's up with that one. Anyway, after some searching/digging through the Steam client I managed to find the [JiF] group and asked the following to invite me to friends list: [AARP]Grimp, {AARP]Jimbo, Sly Gambit, and Stepovich. Would add others I saw but didn't really recognize the names so, for the time being I'll just start small and go from there. (The search features in Steam are pretty bad!)

Hey, Grimp...how'd you get TF2 to take the JIF logo for a spray? I've tried to do a screen snip of the BDU logo and resize it to 128x128 and 64x64 with Photoshot, saving as jpg, but it tells me it's a "corrupt file". Given it's a BDU logo, I'd almost have to agree, but it should still let me import it.

What'd you use to make yours?

JPGs don't work. You need to convert your JPG to a VTF (Valve Texture File) and then import it. I used VTFEdit to get it done.

On a whim I converted it to a bmp and it works fine. I just needed the "spirit of JIF" to push me to think of doing it a different way. ;-)

That's interesting. I did it the hard way. Had Doc get it working on Counter Strike Source and give me the file.
I will have to try a bmp file. Sounds a lot easier than finding someone who has CSS

Wonder if that happened in a patch? I think initially for TF2 you could only use VTFs. BMPs would seem to be kinda big. Although maybe VTF are too.

Allegedly one day we will be able to use GIF/JPGs.

I have not tried it since just after the beta though.
