Wanted...volunteers and gamers...sign up now!
Intel LAN Fest, a new LAN event series, RIGG (Recreation Intel Gamers Group), an Intel employee group and LAN Party Association of New England (LPANE) have teamed up to host Hudson's 2nd "New EngLAN" gaming event on February 15 through February 17 running continuously from 9 p.m. Friday night to 9 a.m. on Sunday morning in the HD2 cafe seating area and the annex. The event is expected to attract more than 250 computer game enthusiasts of all skill levels.
Similar events have or will be held in Arizona, DuPont, Fort Collins, Folsom and New Mexico sites and more will be popping up in other Intel locations soon. These events have been well received by both employees and the public. All proceeds raised support the local Intel Community Giving Campaign.
“New EngLAN” 2008 is open to all Intel employees and the public. This 36-hour computer gaming extravaganza will provide a fun and safe atmosphere for players and promote the use of Intel technology in network gaming.
Tournament games include Counterstrike: Source, Battlefield 2, World of Warcraft and others.
Intel, the main sponsor, will provide tournament winners with high-performance Intel products. More than $20,000 worth of other prizes and "swag" will also be offered by Intel and the tournament's other sponsors.
If you are a gamer or interested in gaming, simply pre-register and pack-up your computer and bring it with you. If you’re interested in becoming a volunteer and helping before or during the event, please contact Thomas Harper.

Haha, I'll try to squeeze more info from my friend, if they have dates and times, I don't know why they wouldn't announce it on LPANE...

Wow. I never even stumbled across this in my hunts!

The website is:
http://lanfest.intel.com/?a=main&eventid=1027
EDIT: I've spoken with two of my roommates and if we don't have a high homework load that weekend (which is something I can just plan around ahead of time), we are definitely going to go (as long as it's real and is happening).
EDIT: Registration is open. We are going to sign up! This is the Winter Nor'easter guys! It's happening!

I liked last times seats, so if the door is open, it doesn't get too cold and when the sun comes up, it doesn't glare on the screens!
