My friend and I decided to test our insanity and joined this.

The goal: Write a 50,000 word novel in 30 (now 27) days.

If only I had the time, sounds like a pretty fun challenge!

I am currently 10.2% complete with 5,100 words written so far!

I have outlined only about 1/6 of the story and created and named all the big characters. Only 1/6 of those characters have detailed backgrounds.

I decided to not do a series of short stories but a continous story. I spent 8 hours today writing only about 1/10 of one chapter. This is going to be one exhausting month. :?

I have too much school work to do tomorrow .. :D

I ran out of time a couple days after the last post and failed at around 6,500 words
It was pretty fun though and I enjoyed doing it. I have about 1/4 of the book planned out in a Moleskine and I definitely plan on continuing it.
Finishing (more like: "working on it", with the words "attempting to" in front of it) is part of my TODO list for this long-awaited winter break.
