I must admit I have been guilty of being in a tank at the enemy's base (particulary Karkov & Kursk)
I think If I can disable the enemy's airforce and tank corps by taking them them out at their origin, it helps my team.
Of course, I am also going to kill all ememy on foot that I see.

However, I can understand being on the receiving end, especially in a game with unbalanced teams where you are in a spawn and die mode. Not fun.

I think it really depends on the game situation to determine if it is "base rape" or spawn killing

I, am also guilty of tanking, because what goes around comes around. I never switch sides just for easy kills though. If I'm on the receiving end, I go engineer and take it out with a mine.
Incoming fire has the right of way!

I still think it's lame.
If the best you can do is sit on an untakeable base with a tank blasting people as they appear you must be some kind of loser in life.
As I've said before I like this server for the ping and map rotation, but sometimes the jerks turn me off so much I won't play for weeks.
Maybe it's a good thing, the lawn needs to be raked in a bad way.

Brick - on this subject you are my least favorite player in JIF BF1942.
I play the game to have fun.
Being killed the moment I spawn is not fun, and a gurantee if you're there.
You take the fun out of the game.
