Twelve Hour Old Hamburger

Post by [JiF][AARP]Grimp »

I would never eat a piece of hamburger that had sat out for twelve hours, but what if it was in your mouth for twelve hours?
I was drinking coffee this morning and a piece of hamburg that must have been lodged in my teeth over night popped on to my tongue. Ya, ya, I know, I should have brushed and flossed last night before going to bed. That aside, without thinking I ate it. That's how I know it was hamburger. Am I going to die?

Contrary to popular belief, storing hamburger in your mouth for 12 hours then eating it will not make you immortal. You certainly will die. This was practiced by a small sect of German monks in the town of Hamburg (ba dink) in the hopes of achieving immortality in the early 15th century. They all died just as you certainly will. We aren't sure how long you will live, but you can make it seem longer by going to the opera or ballet. At least that works for me.

I read this about ten minutes ago, it's taken me that long to stop laughing enough to write a reply...

Yes Grimp, you are most certainly on death's doorstep.

I tried to dilute the hamburger by eating some toffee, caramels, candy corn this morning (Ya, I found the Halloween candy stash). For lunch I had a slice of bacon pizza and an under cooked 1/4 lb. hot dog at the college cafe when I went down to pick up my daughters. Oh I had a mini milky way too.
I have a little tummy ache now. Is that a warning sign that death is near?

Sounds like you have the same thing I have Grimp...and yes, it's terminal.

We were in Vermont at this small town, local Apple Festival thing-
sausage and peppers, pork ribs, french fries, apple pie, kettle corn...
then everything pizza with beer for dinner.
Yup, it's a terminal disease, but damn it, I like it.

My wife and I get one of everything, then we share it so we can;
1. have room for more
2. somehow justify eating all that crap- "well, at least we didn't eat as much as we
would have if we had each gotten our own..."
Yeah, right. We're not even fooling ourselves... :lol:
