Leaf Vacuum
Anyone ever buy or use a leaf vacuum? Not the backpack blower/vacs the kind that look like a lawnmower?

Re: Leaf Vacuum
My parents have a leaf collection "system" that I barrow every year. Probably works along the same lines as that one and it works great. Theirs is on a trailer that is towed behind the garden tractor. A hose connects the discharge of the mower to a mulching system on the trailer (another engine with a big evil looking wheel). It creates a pretty serious vacuum and makes leaf collecting as easy as mowing the lawn. I used to hate taking care of leaves...now it's kinda fun.

Ya, those sound great, but too expensive and I could probably not get it around my yard very well. If I could get a set up like that I would though I will have to settle for something smaller and less expensive. The Sears/Troybuilt one is kind of expensive $600, but a tractor and trailer one would be way more. They have mixed reviews from what I have read. Just thinky maybe someone here has used one.

I'm glad I live close to my parents, I get to use all their expensive toys...I mean tools...cause I can't afford any of my own!

Well we use one of these at work, with a John Deere tractor of course, and it seems to work fine. Think it would work for you???

Re: Leaf Vacuum
This is what we use. It's not exactly a vacuum, but it when it comes to picking up leaves it really, really sucks.
