Looks like one day to TF2 release. Anyone hear how many new maps we may get?

Do I need to buy the orange box to get TF2, I already have HL2 laying around here somewhere, which I will install as soon as I get my mac dual-booted.
I'm working on solving the gas crisis.

Yep, I had HL2 already as well, so I kinda have two of em now, lol, but in all seriousness, I'd pay $49 just for TF2...

TF2 is suppose to be available after release separately from the other games.

You only need the Orange Box if you wanted to play TF2 beta and the other games that are included at the special price.

If you own HL2 already and still want the Orange Box you can gift the HL2 to someone else.

Valve Uncrates The Orange Box
October 10, 2007, 12:00 am - Eric Twelker

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Valve is pleased to announce the official 'uncrating' of The Orange Box, now available on Steam.

The Orange Box features three top-rated new games by Valve: Half-Life® 2: Episode Two, the second installment in the Half-Life 2 episodic trilogy; Team Fortress® 2, the sequel to the game that put class-based, multiplayer team warfare on the map; and Portal, the game that blends puzzles, first person action, and adventure gaming to produce an experience like no other.

To bring gamers up to date with the Half-Life 2 universe, The Orange Box also includes Half-Life 2, the best-selling and highest-rated action game series of all time, and the episodic debut Half-Life® 2: Episode One—together, more than 30 hours of award-winning gameplay. Purchasers of the PC version of The Orange Box who already own Half-Life 2 and Half-Life 2: Episode One can conveniently “gift” them to a friend from within Steam.

Well I am a little disappointed, no new maps for TF2 :( Guess we will have to wait for the map makers to get busy :D Not sure why, but I thought there would be more when released today.
