I have never experienced any latency issues on the server unless I'm downloading stuff.

Brilliant! I've been using Autohotkey previously in Battlefield 2 to make auto-nade macros for Strike at Karkand.

BF3 is going to be better optimized than BC2.

Alpha had some serious issues... to be expected I suppose. It was only one map, and I'm sure they will hammer it out in the next few months. I'm also not a fan of the browser based authentication.
