Re: Shameless Self Promoting Birthday Thread.
In the semi-spirit of the original thread (I have a lot of posts to make up, being gone so long, lol) HAPPY BIRTHDAY PUDDINPIE, wherever you may be. Nearly a decade ago, JiF was little more than a small forum and an e-mail group. Some of us never left that e-mail group, and to this day we still get ...

Re: Today's Snowfall
Thanks for passing that on to the South, Bier... they're calling for snow flurries tonight and tomorrow. In ATLANTA!! We're gonna have to shut down the whole city! Emergency has been called by the parents in the suburbs, all grocery stores are now completely out of bread, milk, eggs, and toilet pape...

Re: Battlefield bad company II
I'm thinking PC. I have two choices, then, yes? I can wait for either Bad Company 2 or... what, BF1943? Is that not out yet? Must be confused on the releases... Regardless, I've got the specs on my laptop, so I'll be joining you on one or the other. How is everyone leaning? Which game holds your int...

Re: Party snacks/Family Favorites and other such tasty things.
This one's an easy year-round favorite. I'll add cookie recipes and stuff later on, when I get them from my mumsies. My mom's family didn't write this one down, so the item quantities are a little... vague. You'll have to play with it until you find out how you like it. 1 lb. Sea Shell pasta (Macaro...

Re: Activisions's COD World at War
CoD;MW2's campaign is pretty short... even taking your time the first time, it takes only about 6 hours of gameplay to get through it all. It's more similar to COD4 and than WaW... and running through suburban streets, diving through people's backyards and homes, is pretty cool. The story picks up w...

Re: Activisions's COD World at War
I don't like WaW very much. It's not that the game is terrible, though single-player campaign is short like all the others. I made the mistake of playing the last two CoD games on the X-box, which effectively kills multiplayer for me. I'd probably like CoD4 better than WaW on PC, but I can't really ...

Re: Peanuts info
Didn't we used to have designs for t-shirts around somewhere? We used to have Mr. Peanut as the various TFC classes, like sniper, soldier, etc. I used to have all the sprays for those, too, and the movie posters gone JiF for HL mods, too.

Re: TFC II
I still play TF2, though not as often as I should. I'm on steam just about every other night... anyone play anything like CS, TFC, TF2, anything Source? I tried to get BF42 and BF2 running on this laptop, which caused major memory dumps and BSODs... I'm not quite willing to take the time to tweak it...

Re: What Browser Are You Using
I've used Firefox since version 2. I notice that some of the plug-ins are a little iffy at best (could never get Quicktime to run as a browser addition, but I rarely use it). Firefox is really reliable, IMO, but there are occasions where I will open a site with bad code and whenever Firefox restarts...

Re: New vid cards
This is only an Nvidia deal so you poor ATI guys will just have to do with out. I'm not so sure about that. Give us 6 months, we'll reverse engineer it and make it cheaper for you. That's an interesting thought. I've also been reading about how you can use GPU processing to enhance your CPU or RAM ...
Re: Windiws 7
The giant rumor is that anything running on Vista will run on 7. How have you Vista users fared so far? XP mode is exactly as described - it's a built-in virtual machine designed with Windows XP as the machine. It's not going to be quite as robust as VMware, but it will get the job done in an enterp...
