Re: The Jif-ference
The creamy is good for a desert environment, but in a rocky environment, you really need chunky.

Re: WWII Memorabilia
That is very cool. I know that my grandfather on my dad's side was in WWII, but I never heard anything about it. He had a few heart attacks and a massive stroke before I was old enough to ask any questions... and by that point he wasn't really "there" anymore. :( And my grandmother on that...

That was a very "Luke and Leia" moment at the end of that video.

Re: PREPARE FOR GLORY.....
CoD4 lets you do it... but it uses the same key that you use for throwing a grenade... so if you don't pick up the one thrown, you end up throwing your own... can be very dangerous.

Re: Fair Use Wizard
I use Handbrake for that myself. Mostly with TV shows because it's annoying to have 5-6 DVDs per season if you're looking for a specific episode... much easier to just store them on a file server and navigate through that. :) I don't do that much for movies though because I generally have a lower to...

Re: dual boot mac/windows
Just keep in mind that most games will not be playable under Windows on VMware Fusion or Parallels. They have some support for DirectX 8, but it's pretty slow... especially on the Macbook.

Re: No Fall Nor' Easter
Really? I didn't much like the fall party. I had a good time, but it just seemed so commercial. The timing was weird too, doing Friday night to Saturday night. Most of the fun I had was hanging out outside of the party at one of the BDU guys' houses that was nearby.

Re: No Fall Nor' Easter
After viewing this post u linked me to...my hope is a-new! I have a feeling we may see something this fall! I believe this was referring to something that RonHack (yeah, that guy) was trying to put together in lieu of the disappearance of LanChelms, MaxFrag, and NELP. I haven't heard anything recen...

I run OpenWRT on my Linksys WRT54G. Much lower power than using a regular PC and much smaller. It has a cool web-based configuration interface and it seems to work really well. It runs embedded Linux, so it's almost as flexible as having a regular PC running Linux. There's just very limited space fo...
