Re: 1st Annual JiF Winter Internationals - SIGN UP HERE

Sounds like fun.
I hope I can get in on it, time wise.
Seems the only time I have to play is in the mornings before work (CST in the U.S.)

Re: A little server advice...

Servers are ranked??? I'm sorry, I was just looking for a fun place to play. Must explain why JiF is my only fav. I've tried a couple times to load the custom maps but never was able to make it work, so on Mondays I just play single player. No biggie. I can only play in the mornings before work. I r...

natter natter natter

What am I doing wrong? i use my joy stick to fly the natter around and it uses up the fuel pronto. If I throttle back (like in reverse) It still uses up fuel. And I have to bail before i even get lined up good on a target. I've tried to find the "off" position on my joystick throttle but t...

Re: How do I toggle art-targets?

thx zuoga, that's a lot of info for me to digest.

Can you practice that in single player mode?
I would love to practice that with someone when there are only two of us in the game and a bunch of bots for targets.
Those def guns are brutal.

Operation Aberdeen???

How come this map ain't in the "instant battles list" in single player?

And is anyone interested in having this in the game rotation?
It is one of my favs, I love a good tank fight when you have lots of room to maneuver with out running into trees.

new PC for work

Whoo hoo!
I just got a new computer for the shop. (my old one took a dump this morning)
Plenty of juice and vid card stuff for gaming.

I usually play at home in the a.m. before I go to work.
Now Hutch and ilw can continue to mow me down all morning from the store. :?

Re: Liberation of Caen

Yeah, Baytown blows. We were downing it during the game the other nite. lol
That Allied Mosquito is the worst.

Caen is ok.
However I wouldn't want Baytown completely eliminated.

Re: Pacific maps

I like to think I'm a fairly good flyer, that is, I watch the map for friendlies and can usually hit watch I shoot at. I don't constantly buzz the main base but if I see a target I blast away. I'm usually trying to give air cover for guys on the ground trying to cap flags. I like the game the way it...

Re: Explosion chuting

There is a delay (3 sec.???) before your chute will open whether your bailing out of a plane or flying through the air after a tank shell blast.
If you don't get booted high enough your time runs out.
It doesn't always work. I get lucky maybe 2 out of 10 times.

Re: Zooking hard core

I've knocked down a plane with a zook before. But rarely.
I've been shot down by one many, many times.

From watching the vids, it's clear that the shell doesn't have to hit the plane. The plane just needs to fly through the smoke trail.
Now I see how those guys have been nailing me.

parachuting

When I bail out of a plane I usually free fall as long as I can and hit my chute right at the last second as a stealth move. As I get closer to the ground my little guy lets go with a Tarzan yell (I've been waiting to see if he starts praying lol). Am I the only one who can hear it or does anyone cl...
