Hi.
Would be nice to know your windows version but until then, try reducing or disabling hardware sound acceleration in windows and in Bf42.
Reducing sample quality and sound channels (in game options) could also help a bit.

Re: PB freakup again...
Well first i am also astonished that all those pb errors only occur after some time and then get worse quite fast. Second, i cannot pinpoint the cause as i already tried with a HDD removeable rack, so a pure windows including drivers also shows the problems that occur on my "full" HDD. Pro...

Re: PB freakup again...
Well RAM test was one of the first hardware related "suspects" that i already questioned. Got GRUB as Bootselector and the Memtest build in there is quite thorough. Registry cleanup was already done with different tools but did not help. Well at least it did not make the whole stuff worse....

Re: PB freakup again...
As stated before: Win2ksp4, tried with old and new nvidia drivers, all on admin account, no restrictions whatsoever, no firewall, no antivir, nothing except bf42 and pb on system. No Firewall messing around, no Antivirus installed, nothing but bf42 and PB as software except System including DX9.0c a...

PB freakup again...
Hi to everyone who might still remember me. Since one another trojan update, Playerbuster has managed to evenbalance my solution with the removeable harddisc. To cut it short: Whatever those evenbalance guys tweaked this time, even on a new and shiny Win2k Installation (that means from repartitionin...

Re: Installing & Running Games on Ext HD
Ouch bad. Just make sure it really is the CDROMs and not your Hardware or driver issues. :( As for the Install limitations, that´s a ripoff "feature" of newer copy-protections like starforce and newest securom. Not to mention steam or WGA but that´s not applicable here. ;) As far as...

Re: USB charger/connections Garmin/Motorola
I do not know about the schematics of that charger thingy but i do know by own bad (i.e. destructive) experience that some mobile phones do not only need correct voltage but also correctly limited charging current. On real USB, you will not get any more that exactly 5 VDC with a peak maximum current...

Re: PB probs on new computer
Yeah sadly pb and its creators never tell you any real reason why it fails so it is always up to oneself to check which other software it deigns to dislike next. That´s another reason for my HDD-Swap. Primitive solution for primitive malfunctions. And i will not crash or weaken my system just for on...

Re: Installing & Running Games on Ext HD
Looks to me like at least once pb is not the main cause of problems. Have you tried a noCD-solution with a "low" driveletter for an eventual image drive or a complete nocd-patch (I seem to remember that lini mentioned one noCD-patch that worked well for him)? This looks definitely l...

Re: PB probs on new computer
Ok as with all strange PB behaviour first try to locate all files related to that software and try to remeber what pb said why you were kicked/disconnected. There should be PnkBusterA.exe, PnkbusterB.exe and PnkBusterk.sys as the main components and all must have full read/write access (admin privil...

Re: Joystick to fly planes on Battlefield 1942
Does anyone still remember "quickshot"? Some manufacturer of very cheap and freaky C64/Amiga/Atari Joystick stuff that also came up with some foot pedals. Combine this with a standard 3 axis/4 button joystick and some freely programmable external keypad (i added some all too familiar 9 pin...

Re: Forgotten Hope 1
Inaccuracy ??????? I have never seen a Kar98k really that deadly as in FH, except the real thing. You can be happy they did not implement the real firing rate of the MG42 and not its real precision, nor the the real power of some other weapons. Some then too harsh imbalance has been smoothed, even w...

Re: Pacific maps
Depends on teams and pilots attitude i think. With few flyboys on one team and too much flyboys on the other, the heavy imbalance already existing due to better US and weaker jap weapons will be even worse. Also consider what keeps happening with those flying hawks bombing every disappearing vehicle...

Re: PB probs on new computer
Firewalls must allow pnkbustera.exe, pnkbusterb.exe and pnkbusterk.sys to have full internet access. If it is Vista or any other OS where only admin account has full write access to system files, you must run any punkbuster stuff with admin privileges. Pnkbustera.exe MUST have full write access to y...
