Soldier Front 2
I was curious if any fellow JiF'ers played Soldier Front 2. It's a good game, via Aeria Games.... http://soldierfront2.aeriagames.com/ I play under the handle: Bravestar1 It's nice because while it's free to play, you can buy some different weapons and other gear packs, but so far I haven't spent a ...

Re: it did NOT snow here last night
That is a LOT of snow Badger.. We still have about 3 feet here, that's packed itself down enough to walk on. Rained a bit, and took care of some of the ice dams on the roof, so the side of the house doesn't have an ice sheet crawling down. Gotta get that roof done this year, I just can't see it surv...

Tablet Purchase
I'm contemplating buying a tablet computer, or perhaps a laptop.
I've always used a Desktop for everything, but may need something portable to get work done, and keep in touch on Facebook.
Does anyone have any knowledge of what to look for in both a laptop and especially a Tablet computer?

Re: First fully functional train in Battlefield 1942:
That is absolutely incredible. It's a funny coincidence, because my favorite game right now on facebook is called Train Station.

If you don't read the caption at the bottom of the first pic, and didn't know it was Nam, you'd swear you were watching something from a Sci-Fi movie, these are just so "WoW".

If a woman like that was chasing me, I'd let her catch me, as soon as possible.

No, I'm not sure I did. I swapped out the card for the one I have now. I don't know why I didn't think to do that.

Re: External HD Failure - Any Hope??
It was the USB card/adapter! After i removed it, I hooked it up to one of my extra internal SATA/power connectors and wahla!!!! drive is there. How old is this computer that you need an adapter? I thought I was half crazy using a machine where I have to physically disconnect drives in order to swit...

Video Card Failure
I have a Midtower that sits on my desk next to me. I have to swap the SATA cable to the 2 hard drives, 1 because I've been too lazy to order another one, and 2 because if I want to default to the WINXP64 I have to remove the cable to the WIN7 drive. So anyways the fat kitty kept trying to get up the...

Re: Custom Map Nights
Now that I'm back to being an Admin, I try to keep an eye on things nightly. It's pretty quiet and the logs say so. I've been told by a few, that JiF is too plain vanilla. And boosting the maps with some customization would help a great deal towards attracting people. If someone has a clue how best ...

Re: Custom Map Nights
I have not had the chance to enjoy BG42 yet, so I am looking forward to playing it, since it was a nearly 4GB file.
Nice to see there is interest though.

Re: Custom Map Nights
Gonna have to upgrade something. I tried to get some of the maps to work, and also to load EOD one night, since i can't find an EOD server, and it kept kicking me out. I still get kicked randomly now and then, and even sometimes jumped into other servers, some of which aren't even listed on the serv...

Re: New hardware at work
Wow, considering the average K-cup takes 3-4 minutes from click to coffee, and adding in the trip across the hall, that is one fast install. My Win7 and WinXP64, I was able to make 2 cups of regular cocoa from a package, get cold, then get reheated, then get cold again, before I screwed it up, and h...

Custom Map Nights
I was wondering if there was interest in having custom map day/nights around here again for Battlefield 1942? We have all these maps and I don't see that many people playing, but I'd like to see if there is support to boost the quality of the maps as the other servers have a better dynamic of game p...

Server Mod and Admin Set up
Since i'm too cheap and too lazy to get BF3 now that it's available at Walmart for $50, but I still play BF1942 every so often (read: nightly) I'd like to get the Admin Setup again. I think I'm still an Admin but I don't have the console anymore, and I can't find the thing. Also some help on setting...
