Re: Anybody out there
Been too long, and I really wanted to give a shout out to all my old JiF buddies, hoping that everyone is well and survived the strange times we've had to endure globally, from Covid to economic collapses and wars! I don't game much anymore but have recently got into Code Of War, and am surprisingly...

Re: Thought I'd step by and see how everything is going
Hey guys! .. then I started watching the old clan videos and I felt really nostalgic. Thought about how much fun I've had with you guys and I really missed the old days. So now I figured I should write a post about how I'm doing and also check how [JiF] is doing :D ...Also, WT, you promised me a be...

Need help with barking dogs in BF3...
Even when I'm not in a squad, I can hear voice chat being broadcast from other players. A few days ago I could hear someone's dog yapping insistently over the game audio, and I cannot describe how annoying it was after 5 minutes. Is there any way to disable the global voice chat permanently? I can't...

Have I sinned or am I brilliant?
A few nights ago I was having a bad day on the Metro CQ map. One of those days when you know you shouldn't even be playing. So I thought to myself, what the hell, lets have some fun, try something different, perhaps a new weapon or class, so I ditched my trusty A-91 and equipped a shotgun for the ve...

Re: The Foregrip and the silencer bug
I tried a few attachment combinations today on the G36C and A-91, firing controlled bursts from a prone position (I find firing on the move irrelevant because most times it happens at close quarters and usually the first person to pull the trigger wins). On the G36C , the foregrip didn't seem to hel...

Re: Oh this is so funny!
Just watched all these videos :pada: I once read a review of Battlefield 1942, where the critic described the game as the comedy of war. For me, BF3 was very intense and ominously fast-paced compared to 42, but watching these videos, I gotta admit, not much has changed from the original description ...

My 7 day EoD suggestion was naturally a tongue in cheek remark, but I am delighted to see 4 days being proposed Bring it on!

Re: EOD helocopters
Yesterday was my first day on EoD, and I'm really impressed. I thought it was going to be another Battlefield Vietnam, but frankly, it's a lot better! Of course I had to have a go at flying the helicopters, and for the first few attempts I really sucked, but then I found it wasn't all that hard, and...

Re: BF3 Roles
I tend to stick with the engy class. I like the A-91 rifle, using a holo scope (the one with the red ring, not the dot). Most other scope reticules are invisible against the background, even with HD settings. Of course this scope is only useful up to medium range, so I lack accuracy over distance. B...

Re: Helicopter kill
Would love to have seen their faces when they saw the kill screen!
This game is very addictive, at first I was battling to come to terms with it and wasn't having much fun, but once I started getting the kills I was totally hooked!

Re: BF3 Question
I seem to have a problem spotting tanks. I'll arrive at a flag, do a 360 scan for anything nasty, declare the area safe, and then promptly get blown up by an Abrahams that was sitting right on top of me the whole time Those things seem to blend into the buildings and rubble in the background.

Re: Why oh why?
That's happened to me often as well. However, I usually ask the person who's joined if it's ok to advance the map, more often than not, the person doesn't mind. Of course, it's only possible for admin to change the map, but perhaps now, with numbers dwindling, it's a good time to re-instate Map Vote...

Major, never mind. In today's world there is an abundance of cruel, insane dicatators to choose from. Gonna miss the moustached lunatic on your signatures though.
