New Return to Forum
Hey everyone. I was on the forum here a few years ago, used to play on your BF1942 server quite a bit. Long story short, computer died and I went the company laptop route for a few years... that along with a family kept me off of 1942. Just got a new comp. with Windows 10, tried to reinstall my 1942...

Re: Possible Solution to Vista Issues?
I hope that works, I'm sick of all the problems Vista has been giving me with this game. If it doesn't just close the game on me, it freezes my comp up. Usually when I'm in the middle of having a good game

Re: Other BF 1942 servers, are there any?
Even though I am not a Jif... Its my first choice, and favorite server of all I have played in the year and a half since I bought the game... However, the server was down last week and I needed to get my fix so I also found kittens palace and ended up running into winky there. Needless to say from w...

I think those top two relate pretty well to the U.S. also.
Very funny, but the bad part is they are true!

Any of these you are thinking about adding to the server?

Re: PEARL HARBOUR
I agree with rix.... maybe getting more info out on the server on a consistent basis along with where to get the maps in an easy fashion would get more ppl. to stay updated and join in on the custom map days.

Re: PEARL HARBOUR
I will definately have to either get this joy stick fixed or figure out this mouse-keyboard flying thing for this board. It looks like fun! We had the discussion for a bit tonight about making the boards more variable, and I agree!

Re: Custom Map Thursday
I like playing the custom maps, but it does suck that there is a serious lack in players on Thursday. I think the problem is that people are too lazy to come here to download all of the custom maps to play, if they try the server and it tells them the map is not found, they just move on. Would it be...

Re: TAGS
About 4 or 5 months ago Punkbuster updated, and I my ping suddenly went up from an average of 40 to about 150, and I also got very laggy, which is why you guys all use me for target practice (do I detect a little hint of an excuse lol?) But seriously, even the bots rub their hands together when I'm ...

Re: Vista Changes for BF1942
I generally haven't had any problems either except for the random crash to desktop with the "BF1942 has stopped working, windows is searching for a solution." It really pisses me off when I get the game restarted and just about get back into the server and it does it again

Re: Funny ways to get taken out
It really hurts the team when you are parachuting on Husky and throw a grenade to kill someone on the ground, only to land on your own grenade and not kill the person you are throwing it at. Otherwise trying to nurse a wounded tank to a repair pad and nicking a fence and blowing yourself up sucks.....

Re: Is the Scout's back pack bullet proof?
Its the driving that can get a bit tricky, or the trying to snipe 3 running guys lol. I generally aim at the front one and hope to hit the one in the middle.

Re: Vista Issues
I'm sure thats happened more then once!
My BF game every once in a while will just quit working. Goes back to windows and says "BF1942 has stopped working" It gets to be frustrating.

Re: Vista Issues
I have that and my 1942 seems to go nuts every once in a while too. It just seems to die for no reason, I've downloaded all of the updates but some days its just a frustrator!
